December was a relatively slow month for the Illuvium council. There was a single proposal that required the council’s attention, which allowed the council to focus fully on the most pressing matters at that time such as the beyond promo sale as well as the latest Illuvium updates to megacities and blueprints. Furthermore, a new document is being drafted for the next governance version that starts with the introduction of epoch 11; Version 3.1.

Illuvium Main Council (IMC) Review

The main council discussed several key topics shaping Illuvium’s future in this year's final month. Integrating AI agents was explored, with ideas like quest companions or commentators and potential collaboration with projects like "Virtuals" being put under review. Reducing Gauntlet player counts to improve queue times was considered risky due to the extensive gameplay rebalancing required. Backlogs in the support system during major launches were addressed, with ongoing discussions on adjusting anti-bot measures. Stat reveals, initially slated for removal, will remain after community feedback, with plans to integrate them into Overworld combat. Partner sales for Beyond will involve influencers to boost engagement while keeping costs for promo sales comfortably low. Pending features were targeted for December delivery, while decisions on fuel system updates remain deferred.

Illuvium Community Council (ICC) Review

The Community Council, on the other hand, focused on game feature improvements, governance updates and community engagement. Key discussions included refining Illuvium’s economy with Viper’s proposal to explore play-to-own mechanics and enhance NFT value. The blueprint system and skin minting process were addressed during the meetings, with plans formed to create content that explains the current skin process. Governance updates included revising processes, creating educational materials, and considering a dedicated governance admin. These governance aspects will be further explored during the following months as a new Governance V3.1 document is drafted. Discussions on wallet integration, game features, and transparent communication stressed the need for timely updates. Esports and roadmap progress were also noted, with plans to align community expectations better and drive revenue through fuel sales. The aim is to improve overall player experience and community involvement.
