Illuvium Main Council (IMC) Review
The Illuvium Main Council (IMC) discussed the landowner revenue share IIP, beyond reward structure IIP and smurf accounts. Additionally, the IMC discussed the features needed for Open Beta and the future marketing initiatives. The IMC is looking forward to finalizing the capital raise that will help give Illuvium further cushioning.
Illuvium Community Council (ICC) Review
In February 2024, the Illuvium Community Council (ICC) had discussions about the Fuel Crate Airdrop, smurf accounts, improvements to the Arena Leaderboard rewards, Open Beta progress update, and Illuvium Zero free-to-play. They had several meetings with Nick, IMC members and other key stakeholders to stay informed on the progress of the DAO to maintain the voice of the community.
Proposals Recap
IIP-45-R Land Revenue Share PASSED
This proposal aims to ensure that landowners receive a 5% share of Illuvium in-game revenue, whether generated with or without the use of fuel. The proposal was revised to clearly define the landowners’ revenue share, which includes all digital product sales within the Illuvium gaming ecosystem. Additionally, the revision provides a clear mechanism of revenue distribution to landowners when fuel is not yet produced or when fuel is not used to generate revenue.
IIP-46 Illuvium Beyond Reward Structure DECLINED
This proposal aims to increase accessibility of newcomers while retaining existing players. The proposal suggests two separate leaderboards: one for individual sets and one for individual waves. Players need to choose one of the leaderboards to participate in. Additionally, the proposal is aiming to increase the leaderboard spots and the overall leaderboard rewards. The IMC declined the proposal due to lack of clarity and actionable items. However, the IMC acknowledged the merit of this proposal and expressed a preference for integrating the proposal into the upcoming Illuvium Beyond Wave 3 IIP.
Major Governance Discussions
Bad Smurf
The aim of this proposal is to improve the experience in participating in the Illuvium Arena Leaderboard by rewarding the top 1000 eligible accounts and reducing the prevalence of smurf accounts. The community discussed whether frequent resets are needed to clear the leaderboard from inactive accounts. Additionally, the community discussed concerns regarding how smurf accounts may discourage new players. The team has stated that improvements will be made to ensure that the top 1000 eligible accounts are rewarded, and that smurf accounts detection is not the current priority.
Free-to-Play Zero Land
The aim of this proposal is to increase user acquisition and retention in Illuvium Zero by enabling free-to-play players to earn fuel and blueprints at a very low rate. The community discussed whether free-to-play players need to be financially rewarded for playing the game. There are some concerns regarding bot abuse and whether the incentive for free-to-play players can generate revenue.
