Proposals Recap

IIP-49 QuestDex and Player-Driven Quest System DECLINED

The proposal was rejected for two primary reasons:

  • Focus on Core Features: ILV Labs should concentrate on essential game elements like multiplayer and combat systems, rather than this feature, which overlaps with the existing Illuvidex. Creating it internally could bypass or complicate the DAO's fee structure.
  • Efficiency and Implementation: The proposed QuestDex, a more gamified marketplace, is less efficient than the existing Illuvidex. It adds unnecessary steps and delays, making it a less attractive option for players. Third-party developers could create such systems, allowing Labs to focus on significant, foundational game improvements.

IIP-50 Illuvial Training Gyms for Illuvium Zero DECLINED

The proposal was rejected for several reasons:

  • Exclusion of F2P Plots: Including free-to-play lots would undermine paid plots and could lead to game balance issues and botting.
  • Excessive Detail: The proposal is overly detailed, constraining Labs' ability to design and implement the feature effectively. Labs needs more freedom to apply their expertise.
  • DAO-Labs Collaboration: Proposals should be broader, allowing Labs to provide feedback and iterate on designs.
  • Focus on Core Games: Current priority is launching core games, and this feature could detract from essential gameplay elements like Overworld and Arena.

IIP-51 Adjusting Vesting and Season Lengths for Loyalty Airdrop and Gameplay Drops APPROVED

The proposal was approved for several reasons:

  • Addressing Concerns: It addresses ILV holder and gamer concerns, maintaining the original airdrop intent while improving incentives for participants.
  • DAO Collaboration: Demonstrates effective collaboration between Labs and the Council, reflecting community feedback.
  • Enhanced Incentives: The shortened vesting period and immediate reward options increase participant satisfaction and engagement.
  • Frequent Interaction: One-month seasons for Gameplay Drops keep the community actively involved.
  • Sustainable Resource Management: Returning forfeited rewards to the treasury supports ecosystem stability.
  • Equitable Structure: Provides a fair, risk vs. reward system for airdrop claims, improving overall equity and addressing key issues.
