Discussion Summary

1. MMO Development Update

  • The MMO development scope has been reduced with the objective of targeting a December 2026 launch.
  • Greater emphasis will be placed on reutilizing existing assets to reduce development load.
  • Focus for launch will be to include procedural dungeons and Illuvial boss encounters.
  • PvP and additional combat polish are planned for post-launch updates.

2. Arena leaderboard rewards

  • The leaderboard rewards restructure was delayed due to the zkEVM migration taking longer than anticipated.
  • A tournament is planned in conjunction with the Beyond Wave 5 promotional partnership.
  • Weekly rewards for Ascendant and Gauntlet modes are planned, tentatively around $500 per week per mode (subject to change).

3. Epoch 12 elections

  • Epoch 12 was scheduled to start in March.
  • Due to the lack of integration with Staking v3, council elections will have to be postponed.
  • The council has agreed to extend the current epoch until Staking v3 is integrated and ready for governance voting.

4. Upcoming web games

  • The council reviewed the first iteration of the Deathmatch web version.
  • Development will remain limited to the web team to avoid diverting resources from MMO development.
  • The Beyond tabletop GDD is expected to be shared with the council later this week.
