Gameplay & System Updates

This update introduces XP gain on round loss, addresses core balance issues with Empath, Air, Revenant and Dust, and their associated synergy loops, and strengthens several underperforming strategies. Additionally, it reduces the base damage of Ascendant drones to help extend match duration.

XP gain on round Loss

To improve onboarding and better support players facing significantly higher-level collections, we’ve added XP gain on round loss. Players now earn 50% of the XP awarded for a round win, allowing for meaningful progression even in difficult matches where few rounds are won.

Ascendant Duration Increase

To extend late-game strategies in Ascendant, we’ve reduced the base drone damage from 25 to 20. As a result, average match length increases from 4–7 rounds to 5–9 rounds, about a 20% boost, creating more room for late-game pivots and creative plays.

Abyssal Basin Battleboard Fix

We have fixed the lighting issue that caused a heavy performance drop when the Abyssal Basin Battleboard was used in a game.

Balance Adjustments

Primary Synergies

Water: 

  • Energy Regeneration increased from 1.2/2.4/4.8/9 to 1.4/2.8/5.6/10.

Rogue:

  • Critical Chance increased from 8/16/32/50% to 9/18/32/54%.

Fire:

  • Attack Damage increased from 10/20/40/70% to 12/24/48/80%.

Psion: 

  • Omega Power increased from 8/16/30/50% to 9/18/32/54%.

Empath:

  • Max Health Shields reduced from 4/8/14/24% to 3/6/12/20%.

Fighter: 

  • Attack Speed reduced from 5/10/18/32% to 4/8/16/28%.

Air: 

  • Energy Resist reduced from 12/24/50/80% to 10/20/40/70.

Composites

Tsunami: 

  • Energy refund increased from 40/50/60% to 45/55/65%.

Vanguard: 

  • Resistances gained increased from 60/90/140% to 80/120/180%.

Inferno: 

  • Max Health Energy Damage increased from 2.5/4.5/8.5% to 3/5/9%.

Steam: 

  • Energy regeneration increased from 5/7/10 to 6/8/12.
  • Damage Amp increased from 25/35/50 to 30/40/60%.

Arcanite: 

  • Attack Damage gain increased from 2/3/5 to 3/4/6.

Verdant: 

  • Area Healing increased from 2/3/4% to 2.5/3.5/4.5%.

Phantom: 

  • Energy gain increased from 30/50/80% to 35/55/85.

Spore: 

  • Attack Damage and Omega Power reduction reduced from 12/25/50% to 10/20/40%.

Mud: 

  • Attack Speed reduced from 8/16/32% to 7/14/28%.

Enchanter: 

  • Heal and Damage reduced from 40/70/100 to 35/60/90%

Shock: 

  • Max health damage reduced from 8/14/20% to 6/11/16%.

Revenant: 

  • Attack Damage gained reduced from 10/20/40% to 7/14/28.

Templar: 

  • Attack Speed gained reduced from 6/12/25% to 5/10/20%.

Dust: 

  • Blind Duration reduced from 4/7/10 to 3/5/8seconds.

Bloom: 

  • Health gain reduced from 300/400/600 to 250/450/600seconds.

Wildfire: 

  • Damage Dealt reduced from 150/200/300 to 125/175/300.

Drone Augments

Champion Focus: 

  • Stats Buff increased from 5/10/15 to 6/12/18%.

Solid Start: 

  • Invulnerable Duration decreased from 2/3/4 to 1.5/2.5/3.5seconds.

Psionic Barrier: 

  • Shield based on omega power reduced from 150/250/375 to 125/225/350%.
