Illuvium: Blog - A New Era of News and Readability
We're stepping up our communication games
- Date PublishedOct 31, 2025

For years, you've followed Illuvium's journey through our words. From our earliest Medium posts in 2021 to the launch of our custom Illuvium News Section in late 2022, that first homegrown blog marked a big step forward. It gave us control, a distinct brand voice, and a place to call our own.
But over time, the limitations became clear. Articles were hard to read. Formatting felt rigid. Load times dragged. As much as we loved sharing updates, the experience no longer matched the quality of the game we were building.
We went back to the drawing board, not to replace the story, but to tell it better. With so many projects developing across the ecosystem, this one simply took time to prioritize. No more waiting. The new system is here. It's still being updated and improved, but it already represents such a massive leap forward that holding back doesn't make sense.
Readability Comes First.
Every article now breathes. Clean fonts, smart spacing, and a mobile experience that feels truly native. Whether you're on a phone during your commute or deep-diving on desktop, the words flow effortlessly. It's the same Illuvium story, just presented in a way that respects how you read today.

Flexibility Is Freedom.
The new system unlocks creative freedom with full-width banners, highlight cards, video embeds, calls to action, images, and accent colors. Articles aren't just text anymore. They're immersive experiences shaped by the story we're telling.

Performance Isn't a Buzzword
Take our old Team Liquid × Illuvium partnership announcement as proof: same article, same message, just faster and smoother.

The Migration Is Thoughtful
Every legacy post is being hand-refreshed. Not just copied, but enhanced with our new formatting tools. We're keeping the original publish dates (because history matters) while upgrading layouts, images, and accessibility. It's our way of preserving Illuvium's past while preparing it for the future. We're not rewriting history. We're ensuring it ages gracefully.
Something New for Major Announcements
We're adding External Coverage sections with curated links to third-party coverage. Whether it's a major partnership, milestone, or major news, these links connect the dots and show how Illuvium's story resonates across the wider industry.
Links Have Changed, But Nothing Is Lost
Every link from the old Illuvium blog will keep working. Your bookmarks, shared links, and search results all redirect seamlessly. No broken paths, no dead ends. Whether you're discovering an older announcement or revisiting a favorite post, you'll land exactly where you need.
This Refresh Serves You Better
This isn't change for change's sake. Whether you're a player, collector, researcher, or content creator, the new Portal is designed to serve you better, not just look prettier. We value your time, your attention, and your trust.
We’re live. We’re iterating. We’re listening.
