To compete in the World Championship (64 players, 4-day invitational), you need one of three paths:

• IPL Points Leaderboard (48 spots): Rank among the top 48 players on the IPL points leaderboard by earning points in IPL 250, 500, and 1000 tournaments throughout the season.
• Final Call (12 spots): Finish in the top 12 at the Final Call tournament, based on scores from six Swiss Rounds.
• Wildcard (4 spots): Get hand-picked by Illuvium as a standout player, influencer, or community figure.

Example: Player A grinds 150 IPL points (50 from an IPL 250 win, 100 from an IPL 500 1st-place), ranking 20th on the leaderboard for a spot. Player B places 8th in Final Call, securing a direct qualification. Player C, a top Illuvium streamer, snags a Wildcard invite despite low points.

Key: Stack IPL points through consistent wins, shine in Final Call, or get noticed by Illuvium. Average play won’t cut it.

IPL points are awarded per event, not across all tournaments. Each IPL 250 tournament distributes exactly 250 total points (50 for 1st, 34 for 2nd, down to 1 for 17th-32nd). Similarly, IPL 500 gives 500 points (100 for 1st, down to 1 for 33rd-64th), and IPL 1000 gives 1000 points (200 for 1st, down to 2 for 33rd-64th). Your personal IPL points total accumulates across all events you play, boosting your World Championship qualification rank.

Example: Player A places 3rd in an IPL 250 (27 points), 5th in an IPL 500 (30 points), and 10th in an IPL 1000 (24 points), totaling 81 IPL points for the season. Each tournament awards its fixed points independently.

Key: Every event is a fresh point pool. Grind multiple tournaments to stack IPL points for the leaderboard.

Each IPL tournament has unique qualification paths. Here’s how to join IPL 250, 500, 1000, Final Call, and World Championship:

• IPL 250 (32 players, 1-day):
  • Open Qualifier/Sit & Go (24 spots): Play in two 4-hour Sit & Go sessions in Gauntlet ranked mode. Top 12 players per session (based on average game placements) qualify. No registration—just queue up in ranked gameplay.
  • IPL Points Leaderboard (8 spots): Be top 8 on the IPL points leaderboard from prior IPL events.
  • Example: Player A plays 10 Gauntlet ranked games in a Sit & Go session, averages 2nd place, and qualifies as top 12. Player B, with 50 IPL points from an IPL 250 win, ranks 6th on the leaderboard and auto-qualifies.
• IPL 500 (64 players, 2-day):
  • Open Qualifier/Sit & Go (32 spots): Play in two 4-hour Sit & Go sessions in Gauntlet ranked mode. Top 16 players per session (average placements) qualify. No registration—just queue up in ranked gameplay.
  • IPL Points Leaderboard (32 spots): Be top 32 on the IPL points leaderboard.
  • Example: Player C plays 12 ranked games in a Sit & Go, averages 3rd, and grabs a top-16 spot. Player D, with 70 IPL points from an IPL 250 2nd-place, ranks 20th and qualifies.
• IPL 1000 (64 players, 2-day):
  • Open Qualifier/Sit & Go (16 spots): Play in two 4-hour Sit & Go sessions in Gauntlet ranked mode. Top 8 players per session (average placements) qualify. No registration—just queue up in ranked gameplay.
  • IPL Points Leaderboard (48 spots): Be top 48 on the IPL points leaderboard.
  • Example: Player E plays 15 ranked games in a Sit & Go, averages 1st, and secures a top-8 spot. Player F, with 200 IPL points from an IPL 1000 win, ranks 10th and qualifies.
• Final Call (64 players, 1-day):
  • Open Qualifier/Sit & Go (64 spots): Play in a 24-hour Sit & Go window in Gauntlet ranked mode, first 8 games count. Top 64 players (average placements) qualify. No registration—just queue up in ranked gameplay.
  • Example: Player G plays 8 ranked games in the Final Call Sit & Go, averages 2.5 (e.g., two 1sts, three 2nds), and qualifies in the top 64.
• World Championship (64 players, 4-day):
  • IPL Points Leaderboard (48 spots): Top 48 on the IPL points leaderboard.
  • Final Call (12 spots): Top 12 in Final Call based on Swiss Rounds scores.
  • Wildcard (4 spots): Illuvium’s choice (e.g., influencers).
  • Example: Player H has 182 IPL points (50 from IPL 250, 100 from IPL 500, 32 from IPL 1000), ranking 30th. Player I gets 5th in Final Call. Player J, a streamer, gets a Wildcard.

General Notes: Sit & Go performance uses average placements, with tiebreakers like highest game finish or Leaderboard (Ranked) rank. Check-in for main events (not Sit & Go) on DataKingz 60-30 min before 2 PM UTC start, or you’re replaced. Check illuvium.io for Sit & Go dates and DataKingz for times (2 PM UTC for EU, 2 AM UTC for US).

Key: Sit & Go is your entry for most tournaments—grind hard. IPL points secure spots in IPL events and World Championship. Check-in or lose your spot.

IPL points are the main ticket to the World Championship, qualifying the top 48 players based on their IPL points leaderboard rank from IPL 250, 500, and 1000 tournaments. Leaderboard (Ranked) points from Gauntlet ranked mode indirectly help by:

• Earning spots in IPL events (e.g., 8 slots in IPL 250, 32 in IPL 500).
• Determining seeding for brackets or Swiss Rounds (higher rank vs. lower via snake seeding).
• Breaking ties (better rank wins).
• Filling no-show spots with high-ranked players.

Example: Player A’s high Leaderboard (Ranked) rank (top 100 in Gauntlet) gets them one of 8 IPL 250 spots. In a tiebreaker, their rank beats a lower-ranked opponent. If a player no-shows, Player A’s rank makes them a top replacement.

Key: IPL points are king for World Championship; Leaderboard (Ranked) opens doors to IPL events and gives an edge in ties or replacements.

Tournaments run in Gauntlet ranked mode, an autobattler where you build teams strategically, with no bugs or exploits allowed. Formats vary (durations exclude qualifiers):

• IPL 250 (1-day duration, Saturday, 32 players): 4 groups of 8, each group plays 2 matches with the same players, top 4 per group (16 total) advance. 3 rounds: Quarterfinals (16→8), Semifinals (8→4), Finals (4), all Best of 2 matches (better record, e.g., 2-0 or 1-1 vs. 0-2, advances).
• IPL 500 (2-day duration, Sat-Sun, 64 players): Day 1: Best of 2 matches Elimination (64→32→16). Day 2: Best of 2 matches Semifinals (16→8), Best of 2 matches Finals (8).
• IPL 1000 (2-day duration, Sat-Sun, 64 players): Day 1: Best of 2 matches Elimination (64→32), Best of 2 matches Quarterfinals (32→16), Best of 2 matches Semifinals (16→8). Day 2: Match Point Finals (8, first to set score and an extra win, max 5 games; see DataKingz for details).
• Final Call (1-day duration, Saturday, 64 players): Six Swiss Rounds (paired by win-loss, no early eliminations), top 12 qualify for World Championship based on scores.
• World Championship (4-day duration, two weekends, 64 players): Weekend 1: Day 1 (Swiss Rounds, 64→32, six rounds), Day 2 (Swiss Rounds, 32→16, six rounds). Weekend 2: Day 3 (Survival, 16→8, two lobbies of 8, top 4 per lobby advance by points over 2 games), Day 4 (Checkmate Format Finals, 8 players, 19+ points and extra win crowns champion; if no winner after 7 games, highest score wins).

Best of 2 Matches: Play 2 matches vs. one opponent (better record advances). Ties use average placement, best single-match finish, or other tiebreakers (e.g., IPL points or Leaderboard (Ranked) rank).

When: Before each tournament, Sit & Go qualifiers (4h for IPL 250/500/1000, 24h for Final Call) run at 2 PM UTC (EU) or 2 AM UTC (US). Main events start at 2 PM UTC. 1-day events on Saturday, 2-day events on Sat-Sun, World Championship spans two weekends.

One type per weekend: Only one tournament type (e.g., IPL 250) runs per weekend, no overlaps. Season runs Aug-Dec.

Key: Master Gauntlet ranked strategy, know your format, and play at 2 PM UTC weekends. One event at a time—focus or fumble.

Registration depends on the stage:

• Sit & Go Qualifiers (IPL 250, 500, 1000, Final Call): No registration—just play ranked Gauntlet games in the qualifier window (4h for IPL 250/500/1000, 24h for Final Call, first 8 games count). Your average placements determine qualification.
• Main Events (IPL 250, 500, 1000, Final Call): Check-in on the DataKingz tournament page 60-30 minutes before the 2 PM UTC start. Miss it, and you’re replaced by Sit & Go or IPL points standbys.
• World Championship: No registration—qualification via IPL points, Final Call, or Wildcard automatically enters you.

Example: For an IPL 250, Player A joins the Sit & Go without signing up, plays 10 ranked games, and qualifies. They then check-in on DataKingz at 1:30 PM UTC before the main event. For World Championship, Player B’s top-48 IPL points rank auto-enters them.

Key: Sit & Go is open to all—just play ranked. Main events need strict check-in. Be on time or get benched.

Dates are subject to change, but based on official sources:

• Aug 16, 2025: IPL 250 ($3k prize pool).
• Aug 23, 2025: IPL 500 ($5k).
• Aug 30, 2025: IPL 250 ($2k).
• Sep 6, 2025: IPL 250 ($2k).
• Sep 13, 2025: IPL 500 ($5k).

Final Call is expected in late November 2025, and World Championship in early December 2025, but exact dates aren't confirmed—check illuvium.io, Illuvium Discord, or DataKingz for updates. The season runs August to December; events before Sep 4, 2025, are complete.
